EQUIPHOTEL IS COMMITED

The Tourism sector, which is undergoing several changes in France but also globally, is bounded to alter travellers' behaviour. Their interests have changed, and the Hospitality sector is seeing the emergence of a new clientele that is more committed and concerned about its impact on the planet. What happens to plastic bottles after using them? Is food packaging recycled? How do hotels manage their water consumption? What is the origin of the products on offer? ... and many more questions that the end consumer asks himself.

Apart from issues related to waste, the circular economy or the ban on the use of plastic since 2020, the Hospitality sector is encouraged to reinvent itself by implementing concrete actions in favour of sustainable development.

As a major event in the sector, EquipHotel will combine CSR at all times through itineraries, inspirational spaces and conferences.

EquipHotel is committed to a CSR programme structured around 5 strategic axes: waste reduction and recovery, responsible purchasing, sustainable catering, improving safety and working conditions during the assembly/disassembly of the show and raising awareness and training of the show teams.

NEW - RECOVERY OF FOOD WASTE

For the first time this year, EquipHotel is working with MOULINOT, a social and solidarity-based company specialising in food waste management in the Paris Region. MOULINOT recycles bio-waste from the catering industry by sorting it at source, collecting it ecologically and recycling it.

MOULINOT will collect bio-waste at EquipHotel, in 3 strategic locations :

  • Espace T by Transgourmet - Pavilion 7.2
  • The Resto des Chefs by The Sundukovy Sisters - Pavilion 7.2
  • The Battle Stage - Pavilion 7.2PRESENTATION

NEW - RECYCLING IN THE SPOTLIGHT

As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, EquipHotel commits with Nestlé Waters to implement an action plan in favour of recycling at the show:

  • Making consumers or restaurateurs responsible for the sorting process
  • Bottle collection in partnership with Lemon Tri

Nestlé Waters will also speak at the TALKS SUSTAINABLE

NEW - A SELECTION OF DEMANDING PRODUCTS

In its food area in Pavilion 7.2, Transgourmet will be highlighting its commitments to sustainable development: responsible offers and services geared towards the sustainable growth of catering professionals, including organic, local, labelled and responsible products, as well as anti-waste solutions.

An exclusive range will be in the spotlight: Transgourmet Origine. Within the Producers' Market in particular, these will be products selected for their excellence and their demanding sustainable development criteria (respect for animal welfare, respect for marine resources, preservation of the environment, improvement of social conditions, etc.).

PRESENTATION OF THE VALO RESTO PRO® AWARDS ON TALKS SUSTAINABLE

In a desire to reduce their environmental impact, the players in the professional kitchens and catering sector have created the VALO RESTO PRO® environmental system and label.

Initiated by SYNEG, VALO RESTO PRO® underlines the commitment of producers to manage, in respect of the environment and the law, the end of life of their equipment placed on the market (collection, depollution, recycling).

The VALO RESTO PRO® system was set up in partnership with the eco-organization ECOLOGIC, approved by the French Government to take charge of the management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Waste (DEEE) and Furnishing Elements Waste (DEA) from professional kitchens in France.

NEW - THE TOOLS AND PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS TO TAKE ACTION AND MAKE PROGRESS IN TERMS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

EquipHotel relies on the expertise of the company ECORISMO, a specialist in sustainable development themes applied to the hotel, restaurant, camping, spa, community and tourism sectors in general.

ECORISMO provides concrete answers to these problems:

  • Environmental protection, energy, water, waste management ...
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • Ergonomics
  • The prevention of occupational hazards
  • Accessibility...

During the show, Ecorismo will organize conferences on its favourite subjects on TALKS SUSTAINABLE in Pavilion 4.

NEW - EQUIPHOTEL IS SETTING UP A LABELLED CSR VISTORS' ITINERARY

This labelled CSR itinerary will highlight committed exhibitors presenting products or solutions that respond to the issue of sustainable development.
