Lounge des Chefs

by Caroline Karenine and Maîtres Cuisiniers de France

Pavilion 4

For the 2026 edition, the Lounge des Chefs will be transformed into a temporary restaurant-gallery showcasing the artistic world of Caroline Karenine.

Inspired by her iconic work EDEN, the artist has created an original installation composed of fragmented, layered botanical papers. Poised between dreams, memories and sensations, this sensitive creation resonates with the Patio collection, designed by Pauline Deltour for TOLIX, and a bespoke carpet created by EGE Carpets.

Caroline Karenine’s artworks will be available for purchase or lease throughout the four days of the show. The artist will also be present in the space for the duration of the event.

The Lounge des Chefs is operated by chefs from the Maîtres Cuisiniers de France.

Caroline Karenine

After studying Art History, Caroline Karenine pursued a career in tattooing for over eighteen years. Her art has taken shape around the world through monumental body pieces, sometimes enveloping the human form in its entirety.

Her insatiable curiosity later led her to explore the vast field of visual arts. Inspired by nature and the rituals that shaped her childhood, Caroline creates captivating works that invite contemplation and open up a space for reflection.

As a visual artist, she explores the tension between fragmentation and unity, using paper, thread and ceramics as her preferred forms of expression. Her sensitive creations become intimate sanctuaries, offering refuge, tranquillity and escape from an often troubled world.

With her unique artistic voice, Caroline Karenine takes audiences on a contemplative journey—an encounter with beauty, silence and the subtle power of reflection.

Caroline Karenine’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Florence, Paris, Marseille and Montpellier.
