French Government grant to help French SMEs exhibit at EquipHotel

The aim of this grant is to support the recovery of the trade event sector in the context of the Covid-19 crisis, by subsidising part of the exhibitors' space rental expenses.

Companies established in France, or foreign companies with a branch in France,  with fewer than 250 employees, with an annual turnover not exceeding 50 million euros and which did not exhibit directly at the previous edition of the show are eligible. 

Its management is entrusted to the network of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) as part of its business aid missions, in favour of companies exhibiting at the main French trade fairs between March 2022 and June 2023, of which EquipHotel is a part of.

Amount of grant

The grant covers 50% of the trade show space rental cost, for up to €12,500 excluding tax per exhibitor.

The grant is calculated by the CCI in charge of processing the application on the basis of the invoice issued by the organiser of the event.

The measure concerns "new" exhibitors, understood as exhibitors who were not present at the last edition of the event. Exhibitors must be SMEs established in France or foreign SMEs with a branch in France and meet the conditions set out in the decree. 

Yes, as long as he takes space in his name (registration + space). And that he meets the definition of a main exhibitor, i.e. that he contracts directly with the organiser.

No, it is up to the organiser to break down the invoice and to set a price for the formula without equipment.

The date of creation of the file on the CCI platform of the exhibitor's request will be the reference date for the processing of the request for grant. Because the grant is limited.

Yes, exhibitors who meet the criteria to benefit from this grant are advised to open a file on the CCI France platform in order to create a registration number for the application. From this date, the exhibitor will be able to complete his file by submitting supporting documents as and when required.

The organiser of an "eligible" trade fair can do no more than inform its new exhibiting customers as widely and transparently as possible that the government's measure exists. Under no circumstances is the organiser allowed to make any selection of the potentially affected exhibitors.
