Thierry Teyssier

    Founder of Maisons des Rêves.

He may be the boss of Maison des Rêves and the Pâtisserie des Rêves today, but Thierry Teyssier actually hails from the world of theatre. Fascinated by the stage, this man with an unconventional career path started out by founding a company with the evocative name of Midi-Minuit. With candlelit evening performances and theatrical wanderings in parks and gardens, the artistic stage management in which he excels aims to deliver a different kind of experience. This led him quite naturally to become involved in communications and event management.

At the beginning of the 1990s he founded Lever de Rideau which is today one of the largest event management agencies in France. He invented scenography bearing the hallmarks of generosity and imagination. In 1997, Lever de Rideau Voyage was born to accompany his clients all over the world. In 2002, with all of these experiences under his belt, he founded Maison des Rêves, rattling the high-end travel sector, which, while being demanding, is often too conventional.

Dar Ahlam in Morocco opened, soon to be followed by a nomad camp in the desert, a quinta in Portugal and most recently a colonial house in Paraty in Brazil. To explain his creations, he talked of writings, consistency and an eye for detail. But the tireless Teyssier didn’t stop there: in 2009 he opened the first Pâtisserie des Rêves with his friend and pastry chef Philippe Conticini. In 2010 he was awarded the trophy Talent du Luxe et de la Creation for his lifelong achievements.
