Julie Gauthron

    Co-creator of the DIGITAL ROOFTOP

A talented artist and interior designer, Julie Gauthron captures, fixes, adopts paradoxes to extract from them a form of unity. A creator of new atmospheres, she is inspired by challenges and puts her heart and soul into taking over an empty space to decorate it with life, recreating an unprecedented decor.

In 2012, Christophe Sauvage, at the helm of Elegancia Hôtels, gave her carte blanche to renovate the Hôtel Louvre, rechristened Hôtel Crayon. A welcoming, sensitive and warm artists’ retreat, where creativity reinvents itself every day without warning with the stroke of a pen on the doors or the walls. Following the success of the Crayon, Julie repeated the experience with Crayon Rouge in 2014, and then Hotel Joséphine, IDOL Hotel, Grand Hôtel du Midi and most recently, Hotel Exquis. All her projects have a powerful story behind them, giving each of them their own identity and a singular story.

Her career experience as a scenographer, desktop artist and designer enabled her to manage projects in the teams of various design agencies before founding her own in 2006. Her creations range from object and logo design projects to boutique concepts and hotel decoration.
